Take stairs down to Longfellow Creek
Greenspace. North on trail to pond, Salmon
Bone Bridge, observation bridges for fall
salmon runs; restored creek channel and
native vegetation.
28th Ave SW and SW Dakota
Explore the Dragonfly Pavilion and
gardens; outdoor classroom.
Greg Davis Park
Greg Davis Park, 26th Ave SW
Just north of SW Brandon Entry Plaza
with information kiosk; picnic area, meadows,
restored native plants, poetry rocks;
stewardship site.
(To reach or return to North
Loop (13), follow park path west to steps
down to the creek.) Cross 26th Ave SW and
go north along 26th Ave SW, a long stretch of
residential street, to SW Genesee.
Delridge Community Center and Historic
Cooper Cultural Center are to the east.
To continue on trail, carefully cross
SW Genesee St; go west, to stairs.
Camp Long
SW Findlay and 26th Ave SW
Continue through the Longfellow Creek
Greenspace through wetland area to cedar
grove at creek.
To continue north, cross
bridge to east side of creek.
Follow trail east
through gateway to 26th Ave SW.
OR Follow
narrow path leading to loop on north side
of SW Brandon (13).
OR To reach Camp
Long, continue on west side of the creek to
connecting footpath uphill along bioswale
(grassy area which filters and slows runoff
from hill) to 29th Ave SW. Carefully cross
SW Brandon to gate (adjacent to Golf
Course).
High Point Access
SW Willow and 24th Ave SW
Follow trail over bridge, staying on
24th Ave SW. Restored creek channel and
vegetation (2002). Home of resident trout.
Continue along creek to SW Graham to
footbridge.
To continue on trail, go north
through Greenspace. High Point is west up
the steep stairs. Puget Ridge and South
Seattle Community College are east, across
Delridge Way SW and up stairs.
P-Patch
SW Thistle and 25th Ave SW
Carefully cross SW Thistle; walk east
of Chief Sealth High School to Entry Plaza
to the Longfellow Creek Greenspace,
Longfellow Community P-Patch and
Sensory Garden. Gateway and benches with
community art. Wooded and wetland areas.
Creek first daylights here. Stewardship site.
SW Community Center
SW Trenton and 26th Ave SW
Carefully cross SW Trenton to stairs up
to trail beside SW Athletic Complex to
SW Thistle St. SW Community Center and
Pool are to the west.
Headwaters
29th Ave SW, south of SW Barton
Headwaters (beginning) of Longfellow
Creek. Restoration of historic peat bog and
ponds. Bird watching; information kiosk.
Stewardship site.
SW Barton and 27th Ave SW,
Gateway with community art. Use crosswalk
to connect to Westwood Village Shopping
Center. Enjoy the above-ground water
feature celebrating the Creek.
